This CV of Failure by a Princeton Professor Went Viral

We often aim to create an impeccable CV with qualifications and successes that look like a year-long grocery list. But this Princeton professor however decided to try something new. He posted a CV highlighting the failures he faced during his career and the post went viral.

“Most of what I try fails, but these failures are often invisible while the successes are visible,” Haushofer told The Washington Post. “I have noticed that this sometimes gives others the impression that most things work out for me. As a result, they are more likely to attribute their own failures to themselves, rather than the fact that the world is stochastic, applications are crapshoots, and selection committees and referees have bad days.”

Here is the CV.

Perhaps this is something we must aspire to as well where we can recognise our failures and understand that they led us to where we are now.
