Fallout Shelter is one of the most successful mobile games that takes advantage of a successful AAA game. Because of its success, the game will be ported to PC and the mobile game will receive a huge update. This free-to-play mobile simulation game is believed to arrive on PC on either July 13 or July 14.

Bethesda Softworks announced that the mobile game will be available in PC and its mobile version will have an update five days from now. The “really big update” was already announced at E3 in the video game developer and publishers show in the event. The update is expected to provide new locations to explore and new enemies to fight. There are also new characters that are available to dispatch in the Vault. There are also gameplay additions like sending dwellers on a quest akin to Final Fantasy Tactics quest system and also brand new combat system.

Bethesda is not releasing specific information yet. However, since the release of the game is a few days from now, new details should be released soon. It is not even known yet that the PC version will have the same core gameplay of the mobile version, what are their differences, or if it is just a direct port of the excellent mobile game.

The mobile version of Fallout Shelter is a massive hit. The game was already downloaded 50 million times as of this writing. The game is free to play but also offers in-app purchase options. Fallout Shelter is considered part of the core of the franchise and was released on iOS last year, and to Android a few months later. The gameplay centers around building and managing their own fallout shelter named the Vault.

Fallout Shelter received positive reviews due to its core gameplay and art direction. The game grossed a little bit over $ 5 million in just the first two weeks of its release. Fallout Shelter 1.6 is the mobile version update that coincides with the PC release and is expected to be the ones to be the base version of the PC port. Fallout Shelter was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and Behaviour Interactive and is published by Bethesda Softworks. The game runs on Unity engine and it is not yet known if the PC version runs also on Unity. On the very day of its release, Fallout Shelter became the third highest grossing game in the App Store beating games like Candy Crush Saga.
