The Universe Doesn’t Have Just Billions, But Trillions Of Galaxies

A galaxy far, far away. The year, not so far in the past. It was in 1923 when Hubble focused his telescope on distant stars and discovered Andromeda, our neighbouring galaxy. He calculated that the distance from the Milky Way to Andromeda was ten times more than the distance from the Earth to the farthest stars in our galaxy.

The world of astronomy was changed because of this incredible discover. Perhaps it might change once again. Recently, research performed using the Hubble telescope has concluded that we are not as alone as we think. The Universe is pretty crowded (even though 94% of the universe is simply invisible).
